New Found Faith Home Screen
New home screen for NewFoundFaith.Org

When we first started the new found faith website we began under the domain newfoundfaith.org. After the passing of my dad, we lost the domain name as it was purchased by someone else. So, when I began preaching in 2012 and started back up my dad’s ministry, I purchased the domain name newfoundfaithministries.org.

In recent years (the past 4 years) the site has grew tremendously! I never thought I would see a day where the site receives over 100 visits a day! That is a lot, to me! So, I want to thank all of you who have become regular visitors to the site and all of you who have subscribed!

With all of that said, I have a very important announcement. In December, I did a look up on the old domain name just to see if it was available for purchase. As it turned out, the old domain name – newfoundfaith.org – was available and I immediately purchased it!

Over the last month, I quickly put together a new design for the site. Today, I want to announce that the new site is up and running. Now there are some things you ought to know, so pay very close attention.

You must re-subscribe

This one pains me because I haven’t figured out a way to migrate the followers on the old domain over to the new site. The only thing that I have seen I will be able to do is simply invite all of you to follow the new site. So, you should have received an email invitation to join newfoundfaith.org. You may think something was wrong or that you already followed, but you were following newfoundfaithministries.org. So be sure to accept the invitation to follow newfoundfaith.org.

(Important Note: Current subscribers. You have received an invitation email to follow the new site. When you click to accept the invitation – YOU DO NOT have to create a wordpress account username or password. Look for the option of being an “email follower” which should be beneath the account form.)

The old site will eventually go away

This is why it will be so important for you to follow the new site. I will no longer be posting anything on the old site. The reason why is because the old domain name – newfoundfaithministries.org – is going to expire and go away in mid March. January 30, 2020 will be the last day you are able to reach that site. On January 31, I will be forwarding all traffic from that site to newfoundfaith.org.

Everything works but does not work

With the migration, I am well aware of what does or does not work. For example, some images may not appear on older sermons. While the site is active and running, the work on the site is still not fully complete. I am in the process of having to go through and update many of the sermons, studies, etc. so that images will load. Audio will still work since the links are still attached to active working links.

Speaking of audio. I should also announce that some of the audio will be going away. All audio to posts after 2018 will go away, except on posts that receive a great amount of traffic. Video on YouTube will remain. Also, the podcast will go away, but will also come back at least by summer 2020 if not well before then. I have to re-submit the new podcast feeds to the podcasting services.

Be sure to pay attention for future announcements about the podcast feed. Alright, that’s all I believe I have for now. I hope you will re-subscribe to the new site and if you were never subscribed, subscribe today!
