Choosing to live according to the way of wisdom is the best decision you will ever make.

Today’s daily devotional: Psalm 1:1-6

The journey of faith is not an easy one. You are going to have your ups and your downs, your trials and your tribulations. Yet, the journey is a rewarding one for those who devote themselves to living in the way of wisdom.

David testified of such a statement! David went from being a young and innocent king to a man that had to live with his great sin. Sin is truly a heavy weight which no one person is able to bear. Trying to bear such great sins on your own will destroy your soul! Yet, Christ makes it clear that if we turn our heavy weight over to Him, He will give rest – that is life – to the soul (Matt. 11:28).

So, why live in a manner where you soul suffers? When the soul is shattered, you will physically, mentally, and emotionally suffer as well. In God’s word, there is life for the soul. Away from God’s word awaits nothing but the crushing death of sin. Why choose to live in a miserable condition spiritually, when there is great relief and joy in God’s word?
