Fear No Man, Standing in God’s Truth
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
Do you believe that the Lord is on your side? In this belief, we have no reason to fear anyone.

Today’s devotional reading: Ephesians 6:5-9
God is the strength of our life. In Psalm 27:1, David sang that the God was the light of his salvation, the strength of his life, and then he asked, “Whom shall I fear?” All of God’s children should understand that the Lord is on their side. When we say that God is on our side, we should understand that His power and strength is with us. God desires to move for us (Jer. 29:11).
God has our back. There is nothing – no man, no woman, not the devil himself – that can topple the Lord. Because there is nothing that can topple the Lord, there is nothing that can topple you. This is a comforting thought that many of us choose to live in. Understandably, we fear what others may do to us if we cross them or upset them. Yet, whatever is done to this shell, that is our body, in no manner can be done to our soul.
In our high calling, we have been tasked to help all people, sharing the good news of the gospel through our words, and even more, by our deeds. We cannot let our fear keep us from doing the good work, waging the good warfare.
As Paul taught, it is not man that we should fear, but rather, it is God who we should fear. We ought to desire to please the Lord by putting forth our best effort, regardless, of what man may say.
