No Trial or Tribulation Can Separate God from You

Reverend Leo H. McCrary II

We ought not think that God is not faithful to His promise. God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us, hasn’t He?

Today’s devotional reading: Hag. 1:7-8; 2:1-9

Do not fear nor be dismayed. In the worst of day, in the hardest of our struggles, many of us become anxious; we worry about whether or not God is with us. What drives this anxiety is when we continue to feel like things are getting worse with no sign of change in sight. We will wonder to ourselves, ‘How can God permit such calamity and wickedness to fall upon His children?’

Yet, the Lord has promised that He is with us and that He is our God. God is the Creator, the Almighty, the Sovereign – He is over all things. Do you believe this? God has no equal! Do you believe this? If we believe that God is omnipotent, meaning that He is all-powerful, why do we worry about our trials and tribulations getting the best of God? We certainly shouldn’t spend a second worrying about such.

Sorrow is a time to gather strength. Sorrow is a time of rejoicing, for it is in those times we will see the hand of God move for us. You see, God will move when He declares He will move. God hasn’t abandoned you at all. No, He is giving you time to gather all of the strength that you prayed for from Him.

Never let us think that we are alone on this battlefield. God is with us every step of the way. Keep the faith, and let hope empower your belief.
