All Things Work Together for Good
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
The bad may be piling up, but remember that God is with you and that the Lord will provide a way of escape from your trouble.

Today’s devotional reading: Genesis 50:15-21
We will have trials and tribulations. The Lord never promised that we won’t face adversity in our life. The promise Christ made is that in Him we will have peace, so that when we have our tribulation, we should be of good cheer. (John 16:33).
Tribulations are what help to train and strengthen us. For example, Joseph was despised by his brothers, sold into bondage, and was thrown into prison while having committed no crime. He could have easily thought that God hated him and wanted to see him fail. Yet, every stop on his journey only increased his faith. By the time he was in prison, Joseph was not shaken, he endured and overcame it.
The blessing is on the other side of your struggle. Everything he faced led Joseph to become a governor in Egypt. Job suffered and lost greatly, only to be blessed with twice as much as before (Job 42:10). The journey was never promised to be an easy one. You are going to face hardship, and a lot of times the days are hardest just before your breakthrough.
Yet, remain faithful and trust the Lord. God will not leave nor forsake you in the midst of tribulation. Your tribulation is leading to something absolutely wonderful. As Paul wrote, all things work together for good to those who love the Lord (Rom. 8:28).
