Where to Search for and Find Wisdom

Wisdom has not been hidden from mankind, we’re just searching for it in the wrong place.

Today’s devotional reading: Proverbs 8:12, 22-31

You will not find wisdom in earthly vessels. That is to say that wisdom is not found in our material possessions nor is it found in one’s status (2 Cor. 4:7). Yes, one may gain an education of worldliness, but the Lord will use the “foolish things of the world” to put to shame the “wise”. One may think themselves to be wise because they have grown their bank account, yet true wisdom cannot be purchased as God has also chosen the weak things to put to shame the might (1 Cor. 1:27).

Wisdom is with the Maker and Creator. Let us not forget that God is the one who has created all things known and unknown. Let us not forget that God is the one has established the times. Scientists who study this creation finds that it operates like clockwork. It took great wisdom to establish the ordinances of this creation!

If you desire to obtain wisdom, Jesus tells us where to find it. In Matthew 7:7 Jesus tells us that all we have to do is turn to the Lord. Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” If you truly desire to know and gain insight and understanding, God will not keep from you His way!

Wisdom has always been with God. If you’re searching for it, you will it with Him.
