God will go before you and will make a way

Today’s devotional reading: Isaiah 43:16-21

There is nothing impossible with God. God created the heavens and the earth, the creator of all things known and unknown, seen and unseen. As Daniel said, “He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to hte wise and knowledge to those who have understanding (Dan. 2:21).”

We should understand that the Lord will go before us and will make the crooked places straight (Is. 45:2). So, what and why should we fear? Who or what is there that can overcome God? Can kings or emperors overcome the Lord? Can dictators or presidents overcome God? Can the power of mankind rival the Lord?

God has overcome pharaohs, kings, and emperors. The Lord has overcome oppressors, dictators, and presidents. The devil was cast down from heaven when he lifted himself above God by his pride and arrogance (Is. 14:12-15).

God can make a blessing out of nothing; we should not doubt His power. God can make a way out of no way; we should not fear. Something that all of God’s children should understand is that the Lord abides with those who are of a contrite and humble spirit. Keep in mind that Jesus said that the poor in spirit and the meek are blessed. Those who choose to love the Lord find favor in His eyes and will always be delivered from all trouble. Let us never doubt the Lord’s power.
