God’s Glory Is Not Hidden From Us
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
The Lord is not hidden from us and we ought not think that we are hidden from His eyes and His presence.

Today’s devotional reading: Psalm 19:1-6
God has not hidden Himself from anyone, though many love to believe that God is either hidden from us or has abandoned us. In Psalm 19, David sang about how we dwell in the presence of the Lord from the very moment we are conceived and born into this world.
David sang that the heavens, that is, outer space (the universe), declare the glory of the Lord. Space is filled with both the beauty of God and His infinite wisdom. Many have looked up at the stars and admired the constellations. Man has looked up at the stars and tried to study and gain an understanding of our place and how all of it functions.
Yet, in all that we believe we now know, we are filled with more and more questions. The heavens sing out to us that none of this is random, and that all of it, our being especially, is intentional.
The Lord made and established all of the heavens, including us who dwell on this incredibly tiny speck within God’s creation. However small we are, as the light of suns from so far away can still shine down here upon us, God, who is above the heavens, also watches us. This is to say that nothing is hidden from the eyes of God. Who are we to think that we can ever outsmart the Creator of all things?
