Your Salvation Is Sealed
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
If you have confessed faith with your heart, you ought not be worried about your salvation.

Today’s devotional reading: Hebrews 6:17-22
You cannot lose the promise of your salvation! Never let anyone tell you that God will take away your salvation. You see, God made a promise to you, and to swear by that promise, He had to swear by Himself because who else is there for Him to swear to? What this means for you is that God has to be faithful to Himself, and therefore, taking away your salvation would cause Him to be a liar.
Consider the promise: “Whoever believes in [His only begotten Son] will not perish but have everlasting life.” God must be faithful to this promise.
The resurrection of Christ seals this promise to you, as His resurrection is proof of God’s power over the grave. Moreover, God gives a piece of Himself through the Holy Spirit to all who believe and have faith in His sovereign power! The Holy Spirit is another seal and reason as to why God will not take away your salvation.
Now, does this mean we should go out and live worse than the worst sinner? Absolutely not. Through the shed blood of Christ and the washing away of sin, we are born again in our spirit. Therefore, that which has been made new ought to walk in the newness of life, never turning back from where it came from.
As Paul said, don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed through the renewing of your mind. Your salvation is deliverance from this world, so walk as one who is delivered from the chains of sin. Live in the liberty of Christ.
