Remember! Nothing Is Secret to God
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
Shouldn’t you live with the mindset that you could potentially face God’s wrath? Your every thought and your every deed will be judged by the Lord.

Today’s devotional reading: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
What is there that we can keep from the Lord? Don’t you remember that God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent? That is to say that God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and is present at all times. God is aware of everything within His creation, and that even includes you. God is aware of both your thoughts and your actions (Ps. 139:1-3).
There is nowhere that we can go that God won’t be there (Ps. 139:7-10), because His Spirit dwells with us. These are thoughts that should cause us to consider our thoughts and deeds, right? Certainly! You shouldn’t forget that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess.
You see, when the Lord judges, Christ revealed that nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor is there anything hidden that will not be known and come to light (Luke 8:17). When the Lord judges, not only will you be held accountable for your actions, but you will also be held accountable for your thoughts and your intentions.
So, it’s a good thing we will have the Mediator to advocate on our behalf that day, because all of us have our deep, dark secrets, don’t we? Don’t you dare plan on standing before the Lord touting your good character, your good deeds, but don’t have the Advocate in Christ to advocate on your behalf about your deepest and darkest secrets. God will judge, and He will judge thoughts and intentions! For that reason alone, it is good for one to turn to Christ, the Savior, who also saves us from our thoughts and sinful desires.
