Faithful to the God Above All

When was the last time you evaluated your relationship with the Lord?

Today’s devotional reading: Deuteronomy 5:1-10

Is God not worthy of your faithfulness? To the children of Israel, God commanded them not to have no other gods before Him. When Christ was asked what the great commandment in the law was, He answered that one should love the Lord with all their heart, mind, and soul. If we all stop and take a moment to consider all that God has done for us, surely we would conclude that the Lord is worthy of our faithfulness.

Consider this: How often have you called on the name of God and God not responded with help in your time of need? Whether you realize this or not, God is always with you; He neither leaves nor forsakes you. When you thought that there was no way, the Lord made a way out of no way for you and for your loved ones. When your enemies, and our great adversary, thought they had you defeated, you’re still pushing forward today. None of your trials, tribulations, afflictions, or infirmities has defeated you!

God answers our every prayer. God shields and protects us from all hurt, harm, and danger. The Lord supplies our every need so that we do not live without. God has brought us a mighty long way, and for that, hasn’t He earned our faithfulness?

Consider this: What has mankind done for you? He has provided you with very little, as he has never valued you. Mankind has hated you for whatever petty and senseless reason you can think of. Mankind has caused all of us a headache. So, why would you dare turn to mankind to bless you? Why would you turn to the world to bless you?

Have no other gods before you but the one true God who continuously makes a way for you!
