Finding God Through Persistent Seeking
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
God is available to be found should you truly desire to find and know Him.

Today’s devotional reading: Matthew 13:10-16
The word of God is the divine truth which was first spoken through the prophets, then affirmed to mankind through Christ, God in the flesh, and then testified to through the Holy Spirit. Peter, in his writing, wrote that prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:16-21).
Yet, the written word of God is one of the most questioned and argued over doctrines in the world. At the same time, the written word of God is one of the most misunderstood doctrines in the world, with many believing it to make no sense or to be absolute nonsense.
If one fails to understand the word of God, understand that the problem isn’t with His word, but rather, the problem is with us. Christ said He spoke in parables by design, as He reasoned that His parables separated those who truly desired to know and understand from those who would give up.
Those whom the Lord desires to dwell with Him are those who will faithfully commit themselves to dwell with Him. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matt. 5:6).” If you truly desire to know the Lord, diligently seek Him, and He will reveal Himself to you. Study His word diligently, don’t give up, and He will reveal the truth to you.
