31 He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony.

JOHN 3:31-32 NKJV

If you are seeking to know the truth, Jesus has said to us, to come unto Him. The truth that I am speaking of today is neither subjective or objective, but rather, it is the divine truth. The only way that you and I can come to know this truth is by being led by the Holy Spirit who will lead us to the Word; the word is Jesus Christ. In our thought for today, Jesus tells us that He who comes from above is above all and has testified of what He has seen and has heard. Who are we that we can question the witness of Christ with any kind of authority?

In his testimony, John the Baptist points out how ridiculous this thought actually is. The problem that many people have is that they struggle to understand spiritual thought because the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them. So, when things from above are spoken about, it sounds foolish to them because their mind is worldly focused. As John said, “he who is of the earth is earthly and speak of the earth.” Those with a earthly mindset will never understand Christ; the Lord’s thoughts and ways are already higher than ours, as believers, so just imagine how much higher it is for those who are not of the same Spirit?

If you want to truly know the divine truth, turn to Christ and let go of your worldly mindset; it will be the best decision you have ever made. Jesus said it best, when you come to know the divine truth, you will be set free.
