God Will Not Leave You Without

Reverend Leo H. McCrary II

Whether you are in a season of plenty or drought, God will not leave nor forsake you.

Today’s devotional reading: Exodus 17:1-7

God does not want to see you suffer or in sorrow. Something that many of us struggle with is having faith in the day of our trial and tribulation, affliction and infirmity. It is easy to be faithful when everything is going well, but the day of struggle is a test of whether or not we still believe. God, we will say, is a good God who is always with us and supplies our every need. We ought to keep that in mind in days of great difficulty.

Because the Lord is always with you:

  1. The Lord knows what you are facing. As David said in Psalm 139, God is with us no matter where we go – there is no escaping His presence. We can end up in the middle of nowhere or at the edge of the universe, and God will be there and know what we are facing.
  2. The Lord will provide help. We ought not ever think that God will not provide for us. When the children of Israel were in the middle of the wilderness, God provided water from a rock. When the children of Israel had no food in the wildnerness, manna formed from the dew of the ground (Ex. 16:14-15). When the children of Israel complained about the manna, God provided them so much food that they would grow to loathe it (Num. 11:18-20,31-33).
  3. The Lord will make a way. God will never leave you in a horrible pit or in miry clay (Ps. 40:2). God has promised to always make a way of escape for you. The Lord has promised to make a road in the wilderness for you.

God will never leave you without. The reason why God will never leave you without is because the Lord loves you – He cares for you. Always remember that you are cherished and favored by the Lord. This truly is a faithful and a wonderful saying.
