God’s Children Shouldn’t Fear Anything or Anyone?
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
Don’t you believe in the one who is Sovereign and Almighty? All power is in God’s hands and we should not live in fear.

Today’s devotional reading: Matthew 10:16-22
God’s children are safe in His hands. In John 10:28-29, Jesus taught that His sheep, that is, all who choose to follow Him, are safely kept in His Father’s hands. Then Jesus added that no one is able to snatch them out of His Father’s hand.
Who is able to break open God’s hands and harm us? Certainly not man. Many like to put the devil on equal footing with the Lord, but the devil is a fallen angel. Sure, Satan has a level of power, but his power, like ours, pales in comparison to the Creator of all things.
We must not let the fear of being hurt and harmed keep us from moving in faith. Fear can turn into a paralyzing spirit if we permit our fear to turn into doubt. Because all power is in the Lord’s hands, we who are of sincere faith should not only believe we are protected, but we should also believe all things are possible.
To overcome such fears and worries, we must learn to choose not to fear or worry. To help us with being courageous, we ought to turn to the Lord. Devote time to consulting the Lord. Jesus taught us that as the Lord cares for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field, so will He care for us and much more.
