God’s Steadfast Compassion Through Every Season
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
There is nothing that can separate God’s steadfast love from you.

Today’s devotional reading: Psalm 136:1-16
God’s compassion has no end. When the Lord passed before Moses, He proclaimed that He is merciful, gracious, patient, and abounds in goodness and truth for generations upon generations. The Lord showed such grace and mercy towards the children of Israel after their great sin at Mount Sinai. God then came in the flesh, as Christ gave Himself as a show of God’s great grace.
Over two thousand years later and the Lord’s grace is still shown to us as He continues to pour out His Spirit upon all of those who call on His name. Where many are quick to give up on others because of the fault, the missteps, and the sins of another, there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God. As Paul said, neither death nor life, principalities nor powers, things present or to come can keep us from His love.
Where others give up, God remains. God chooses to remain with you in every season you enter, whether good or bad. God is faithful to you. Because the Lord chooses to be faithful in His fellowship with you, what should you choose? The only thing that can separate you from the love of God is what you choose in your faithfulness.
Because there is no love greater than the love of God, one ought to choose faithfulness over unfaithfulness. One ought to be grateful for every blessing.
