Happy Is One Who Diligently Calls on God
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
There is a need for prayer in the life of all who say they believe in God. You happiness and joy in this world is dependent on calling on God.

Today’s devotional reading: Psalm 28:1-9
This child of God ought to enjoy a wonderful prayer life. Where would we be without prayer? The devil certainly would have had his way with our souls. The world, those of wickedness, would have also had their way with our souls. Frankly, our soul would be crushed and shattered into many pieces. In other words, we would be a shell of the person that we are today.
Sure, we have had our trials and our tribulations. Sure, we have also had our share of afflictions as well, but look at where we are today. None of us have reached this part of our journey by our own strength and might. Paul said that we are hard-pressed on every side, but we aren’t crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; struck down, but not destroyed (2 Cor. 4:8-9). The reason why we are still standing after all we have faced, and endured, was because the Lord heard our cries.
God has heard our every prayer, and because of that, we endured. Because we endured through yesterday’s test, we will certainly endure the testing of today. The child of God ought to always call on the name of God. The Lord will always answer, and move to satisfy our souls, both in good and in bad times.
