Our Today Does Not Compare to Our Tomorrow | Rom. 8:18

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. – Romans 8:18 NKJV
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18 NKJV
As a man of faith, I am one to always look ahead to tomorrow with hope in my heart. I have hope for tomorrow because I know that GOD IS able. Yet, though I am always looking ahead to tomorrow with great hope in my heart, I have to be honest with you. I know very well that in the world, the wicked are also looking forward to tomorrow to continue in their wickedness. There is suffering that we face both in the world externally and internally as trial and tribulation are a part of life.
So, while I look ahead to tomorrow with hope, I must tell you that there is another tomorrow that I look further ahead towards. You see, in that tomorrow, the Lord has promised that there will be no wickedness and no evil. In that tomorrow, the Lord promised that there will be no grief and no sorrow. In that tomorrow, the Lord promised that there will be no more death! I look ahead to the new day that has been promised to all who have believed in the only begotten Son (John 3:16).
Your worry may be great today, but the joy that comes tomorrow will exceed today’s worry. Your sorrow may be great today, but the joy that comes tomorrow will exceed today’s sorrow. Your hurt and pain may be great today, but the joy that comes tomorrow will far exceed today’s pain. Your grief may be significant today, but the joy that will come tomorrow will far exceed today’s grief.
The thought of that tomorrow is why I do my best not to surrender my mind and heart to the negative feelings of today’s struggle. God has made us a promise and we should all know that He is faithful to keep His promise. I encourage all of you live within that promise and let the peace of God rule in your hearts.
