The Day All Nations Proclaim God’s Name

Reverend Leo H. McCrary II

There will be a day when all the heavens proclaim the name of God, but you shouldn’t withhold your praise until then, should you?

Today’s devotional reading: Revelation 7:9-12

In the Revelation of Christ, it is shown to us that there will be a day when all of heaven will proclaim the name of God and all of His good works. The angels will sing praises to His name. The church, that is, the saints of the church age, will praise His name. The believers who come forward during the period of the Great Tribulation will also proclaim the name of God. The heavenly scene will be a beautiful scene when all of heaven sings out loud.

What about the earthly scene? We often speak of how terrible this world is, and it certainly is terrible, yet we can’t use that as an excuse. God blesses us while we are in this world, doesn’t He? Good is still capable of being done in this world, isn’t it? We have an opportunity that we must not sleep on!

Jesus told the Samaritan woman that the time is now that true worshipers will worship in spirit and in truth. Jesus told her that worship wasn’t just for the mountains or Jerusalem; praising God isn’t just for the sanctuary. Praising God isn’t done with just your lips. No, you can praise God through your actions.

We must not keep our good works to ourselves because the world is a bad place. The world could be a better place if you were to praise God through works, as your works also testify of the Lord. As a living testimony, you can be the spark to bring several other people together to join in the good work and praise His name.

So, don’t withhold your praise for heaven, praise God’s name today.
