The Devil Is Busy but You’re Protected

Reverend Leo H. McCrary II

What can the wicked harm you when you’re in God’s hands? You’re protected!

Today’s devotional reading: Psalm 31:19-24

Fear and doubt are still the devil’s main weapons of attack. The adversary wants you to live in the fear that he can destroy you. The enemy wants you to live in doubt because when we doubt, we lose hope.

Jesus taught us that no one can snatch us out of His hand. Even more, Jesus taught that the Father is greater than all and no one is able to snatch His children out of His hand (John 10:28-29). Before he tried Job, Satan admitted he hadn’t bothered with Job because God had made a hedge around him (Job 1:9-10).

After he failed to break Job the first time around, the devil complained even more about how God had protected Job. Sure, the devil is always busy, but don’t ever be persuaded that God isn’t busy as well. The devil does not have the power to open God’s hands and snatch you out! Nobody walking the earth has the power to open God’s hand and do any harm to you!

Rejoice and breathe a sigh of relief because the Lord will keep you. His hands are a mighty fortress, and there is no enemy that can breach its walls.
