The Path to Life Is Found in Wisdom
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
There is a better way of life and it can’t be found through worldly living.

Today’s devotional reading: Proverbs 4:1-9
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Prov. 14:12). There are two mindsets that you can choose between living with on your journey through life. The path that seems right is the fool’s path – a path shrouded in darkness. One who walks in the dark is one who is lost. Should they have no light to find their way, the one lost in the dark is one that is lost forever.
This is why God gave the world His only begotten Son. To the world, Jesus announced that Himself as the light of the world. Jesus taught us that one who walks while it is day, they can see clearly and never stumble (John 11:9). As the light of the world, Jesus proclaimed that He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). In other words, Jesus is wisdom.
God created mankind to be more than what we are today. Do you think the Lord made man to spin its days toiling and laboring in the sun? God did not form and make man so that we would live stressed out, overly burdened, and filled with much anxiety. No, God made man so that we could dwell with Him and He with us. God made man so that man could live. That is to say that God made man to live beyond this level of living that we are living in today.
So, for us to truly live, we should heed true wisdom, the wisdom that comes from above and shows us the way.
