We Have Victory for Good | 1 Cor. 15:21-22

As the song says, “I’m so glad trouble don’t last always”. I honestly want to keep this one short and sweet. Palm Sunday is my favorite Sunday of the year because it always brings to my mind the victory. We often see the cross and the resurrection as the victory, yet the victory had already been won. The cross and the resurrection was merely the finish line for Jesus’ earthly ministry. For us, the victory began when Jesus began to minister to this sinful world.

I am truly thankful that God knew we needed Him. Without Him, we’d still be lost to death – the spiritual death – because of mankind’s sin in the garden. Yet, we aren’t lost to the spiritual death, are we? We aren’t lost to the schemes of wicked men who are stuck solely on themselves with no care for anybody else. We aren’t lost to those who seek to hinder and impede us on our journey. We aren’t lost to our own lust, covetousness, and temptation!

You and I, because we have believed, we have victory for good! Our victory ain’t going nowhere! Our victory has been signed, sealed, and delivered. So, I rejoice today. I rejoice that my lust, covetousness, and temptation won’t get the better of me. I rejoice because in the end, I will wear my robe and my crown of gold! Today and the tomorrows to come, I encourage you to rejoice in the victory that’s sealed for you!
