There Is Nothing Secret to God

God is the sovereign ruler of His creation and He is aware and in control over all parts of it.

Today’s devotional reading: Daniel 2:17-24

What is there that is hidden from God? God searches and knows the hearts of mankind to test and to give to every man according to his ways (Jer. 17:10). Because the Lord searches our hearts – our souls – He knows our wishes and our desires, our intents and our actions. Those things that you and I try to keep secret from others, there is nothing that is secret to God. Yet, we try to keep things secret from Him.

God is in total control. God is the sovereign ruler over His creation. As the Lord told Job, there is nothing going on in the universe that He is not aware of and cannot move and control (Job 38:25-33). Morover, because the Lord searches and knows the hearts of man, He control on a deeper level than you may think. There are no thoughts and actions happeining right now that God is not aware of. The Lord knows what’s happening here in America, just as well as He knows what’s happening in the middle of nowhere.

We should completely trust in Him rather than try to avoid Him. God is all-seeing and He is all-knowing. Denying God’s authority only hurts and harms us more than it does good. We delay our blessing when we choose to deny His power. Can we bless ourselves more and better than God can? How could we possibly do that when we don’t know the way to our blessing?

How can we possibly bless ourselves when we don’t know the source of the hindrances and obstacles that we face? How can we overcome wicked people when we don’t know what’s in their hearts? We should completely trust in the Lord rather than hurt ourselves. In God there is victory. In God we can, and will, succeed.
