A Light Unto Every Nation of People

Reverend Leo H. McCrary II

Salvation has come to the house of everyone, but will you accept the salvation of God?

Today’s devotional reading: Isaiah 49:1-13

God loved the world and gave His only begotten Son. When Jesus said those words to Nicodemus, He didn’t simply have the Jews in mind. Jesus did not have one nationality, nor did He have one race of people in mind. The Messiah was given to world – to all nations of people.

Why did God give His only begotten Son? Christ was given because mankind was walking in darkness, falling into sin, and living in the bondage of sin. God brought forth salvation, His only begotten Son, because He saw that there was no justice and no intercessor for those who desired to live in His righteousness.

Jesus proclaimed that He was the light of the world. A light is a revealer of what hides in darkness. A light reveals hidden paths. Christ revealed the sin that dwells in us and a path to overcome sin so that we may dwell with the Father for everlasting life. You don’t have to depend on no man or woman as to be your salvation becuase God has given His Salvation directly to you.

We all have a redeemer, and our Redeemer is Christ. There truly is a great miracle in the giving of Christ that we should be thankful for, and that miracle is true love. The Lord, you should understand, loves you no matter your nationality, race, gender, or sin. All the Lord asks of us is to receive and accept oru Redeemer, and when we do, He will lead us unto everlasting righteousness.
