God is Watching – Take Advantage of This Moment | Ps. 53:1-3
March 14, 2025
1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity;
Psalm 53:1-3 NKJV
There is none who does good. 2 God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.
I want to make it clear from the beginning of today’s thought: Yes, God has always been watching mankind. I personally believe that these kind of days, throughtout the history of mankind, are moments God carefully observes to see what we will do. As David said, God looks from heaven to see if there are any who understands and seeks Him.
The question these moments brings is how will we respond? Will we seek to understand? Will we seek God? Will we seek to move in the image and likeness that we, mankind, were created in? Will we do what is right by one another? These are questions that these moments bring every single time.
Sadly, as David observed, the sinner turns down the opportunity every single time. The fool says there is no God. The sinner – the fool – ignores the opportunity of correction given by the Lord. The sinner – the fool – falls further down the well of sin and does no good. I think of the moment found in Isaiah 59:4 when the scripture spoke of no one calling for justice, nor pleading for truth; they rather trust empty words and speak lies.
A moment of correction has been presented to us by the grace of God. While others may not take this moment to make correction, I hope that you will. If you are a child of God, I encourage you to continue to find way to grow and improve. If you aren’t a child of God, I hope you will take this opportunity to see all that is wrong in the world, and also in yourself, so that you can also grow and improve. You never know if you will ever have another opportunity like this.
