14 The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above. 15 The simple believes every word, But the prudent considers well his steps.

Proverbs 14:14-15 NKJV

The prudent considers well their steps. That makes me want to ask, are your steps in order? Prudence is having the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason. Prudence is being cautious and very careful to risk or danger. The wise are very careful about their every step but the foolish are very careless in whatever direction they go. The foolish will mock, scoff, and ridicule the wise for being a prude. What’s wrong with one being careful about their steps? Nothing.

Spiritually speaking, those who are truly wise in heart will consider their spirit. Those who are wise in spirit, will consider what they allow to influence their soul. We who are wise in heart will quickly turn to the Lord so that He can satisfy our every need. Whereas those who are foolish in their heart don’t take into consider all that can affect their soul. Because the fool does not consider their soul, they are easily distracted, fooled, and led astray.

We are in a season where many will lie and try to deceive you. In this season, you must be wise to the deceptions of the wicked one so that you are not led astray. So, I encourage you to lean even more on the Spirit during this season. Consider your every step. Don’t be ashamed of being called a prude because that is a sign of your wisdom.
