Be An Unashamed Voice of Faith
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
The child of God should be proud to share their story for all the world to hear!

Today’s devotional reading: Isaiah 40:9-11
All of us are on our very own journeys which means that all of us have a story to share. We’ve all had our trials and tribulations; our afflictions and our infirmities. Yet, through it all, we are enduring – we are persevering. Yet, why are so many of us so quiet? Why aren’t we sharing our testimonies with all of those around us?
In Matthew 29:19-20, Jesus instructed the apostles to minister (to share) the good news to everyone around them. We ought not be afraid of sharing the testimony that God has given to us. We should proudly proclaim how good God is to us. So, how do we overcome our fear of speech so that we can share our testimony?
- Pray for boldness. In Acts 4:23-31, when Peter and John had returned from their arrest, they shared their story with their companions. Then, all of them came together and prayed, and were filled with the Holy Spirit to speak the word of God with boldness.
- Holy Spirit’s guidance. In Matthew 10:19, Jesus shared with His closest disciples that they shouldn’t worry about what to say, for it – what they would speak – would be given to them. This further speaks to the role of the Holy Spirit in our life. Keep in mind that the role of the Holy Spirit is that as a comforter. In John 14:26, Jesus spoke of how the Holy Spirit will come to our remembrance all things Jesus said. In John 16:13, Jesus spoke of how the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth.
God has not given us a spirit of fear. What He has given to us is a testimony and we ought not be ashamed of sharing our testimony.
