Do You Know Better Than God? | Hebrews 2:1-3
Read This Passage: Heb. 2:1-91 Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, 3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him

As we, mankind, have grown in our technological advances, we have taken on this mindset that we know more than anybody; we know more than than all of those that came before us – we know a lot! When I say that we think that we know a lot, I mean that there are some of us who truly believe that we know more than God. In believing we know more than God, we’re saying we know what is best for us and even those around us. Frankly, this is a very foolish mindset to have.
To Job, the Lord asked him, “Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge (Job 38:2)? Job was questioning the Lord’s authority but had no idea what he was talking about – this is what many people do today. Yet, who are we to question the Almighty? Who are we to question the one who created all that is known and unknown to us? God is Holy and divine; He is righteous which means that His word is also righteous.
Why neglect His divine truth thinking that you know better than the one that formed you and all of those around you? Man’s word leads to nothing of eternal joy but God’s word will lead you to true joy. Don’t neglect God’s joy for something that no man can ever promise! Live by God’s truth!
