Food For Thought

30 Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. 31 So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

Matthew 15:30-31 NKJV

There is a fear that many have when it comes to turning to the Lord. I know about this fear because I, and many others, have once had the same fear. What is that fear? That God is going to judge them the very moment they turn to Him. Because we know that we have done wrong, in our soul, we fear that God is going to strike us down.

Now, a lot of this fear is born from how others do us when we either confess to wronging them or we’re caught in the wrong. We don’t like being shouted down, do we? So, rather than facing the Lord, we’ll turn and never approach Him believing that’s the best decision. Is God going to strike you down for coming to Him? Is the Lord going to rain down hellfire and brimstone for you going to Him?

The scripture I’ve shared with you is to show you that whoever came to Jesus, He healed. Whoever was laid at His feet, He healed. No matter the sickness, affliction, or disease, He cured. A good doctor isn’t going to see you hurt and wounded and refuse to help you because you got hurt and wounded!

Jesus is more than a good doctor and He desires to take a look at you. Jesus desires to heal you of whatever may be hurting you physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. So, don’t ever fear going to the Lord when you are hurting and in need. You need healing and the Lord will heal you when you turn to Him.
