Food For Thought

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20 NKJV

There is a lot of confusion in the world today over what is the truth or not the truth. Scripture makes it very clear that the Lord is not the author of such confusion. No, the author of such confusion is Satan and those who are his children – sinners. God warns those who call evil good and good evil. God warns those who put darkness for light, and call what is light darkness.

God severely warns such deceivers because He has not hidden what He considers to be good. What is good in the eyes of God? I will reference Paul said in Romans 13:8, 10 to answer this question. Paul wrote, “Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”

Sound familiar, doesn’t it? Didn’t Jesus say we should love our neighbors? Listen, any though or action that moves against another is evil! God has hid that from nobody. Those who move with malice intentions but try to cover up their actions with lies are liars. To be clear, such liars are workers of iniquity who should be rebuked with all urgency at every turn. I say to you today, don’t let these deceivers confuse you as to what is good and what is evil.
