²⁴ They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.” ²⁵ Your iniquities have turned these things away, And your sins have withheld good from you.

What is scary today is that many have said in their hearts that they do not fear the Lord. I cannot understand one who does not fear God’s authority. To me, that’s like not fearing when my mom would tell me “dad will be home in a minute” when I was acting up. Let me tell you something, when mom would utter those words, I would try to straighten up right quick!

I don’t believe many of us understand that God is watching us right now. God is watching to see if there is any obedience in the world today. God is watching to see if there is any faithfulness in the world today. What is it that He see in the world today? Unfaithfulness and disobedience. Sin will block one from being able to enjoy God’s heavenly kingdom.

God gave the world His only begotten Son to tear down the barrier that is sin so that we can go to Him. Yes, Jesus reconciled all things to Himself and restored harmony, peace, between God and mankind. Sadly, many of us make a mockery out of what Christ has done for us. Many of us are steadily rebuilding the barrier that Christ knocked down because we choose sin over faithfulness.

I want to encourage you today to not make a mockery of what Christ has done for you. Christ has given His life so that you aren’t denied from the heavenly kingdom. If you truly desire to eternal peace and joy, I encourage you to strive to do your best to live in harmony with the Lord. Strive to live faithfully and do good.
