Don’t Worry About What Others Think | Luke 21:16-19

Read This Passage: Luke 21:7-19

16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. 18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19 By your patience possess your souls.

Luke 21:16-19 NKJV

This was a message to Jesus’ disciples in their growth of faith. When you are trying to learn who you are and grow as a person, not everyone will be a fan of your growth and that’s truly a sad thing to say. Even worse, Jesus tells us that when we are led by the Spirit in our growth, we will be betrayed and despised by friends, relatives, and even our own siblings and parents! Thankfully, I have such a great support system around me that I cannot imagine being betrayed like that by my loved ones.

However, that may not be the case for you as all aren’t in the same surroundings. In fact, some of us may feel incredibly alone in our journey of growth and faith. Though you may feel like you’re alone, I want you to know that cannot be any further from the truth. The Spirit of God resides with the hearts of all of those that sincerely walk by faith in the Lord. So, don’t worry about feeling alone because you aren’t truly alone. Don’t worry about what others may think of you or even say about you if their actions don’t help to encourage and uplift you!

Yes, many may move against you to hinder you in your growth but Jesus said to you, “not a hair of your head shall be lost.” As Jesus encourage, I use His words to encourage you today to remain faithful in your efforts to grow to be the best you!
