Embrace the Unique Gift God Has Given to You
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
God has blessed you with a gift that is specially made just for you.

Today’s devotional reading: 1 Cor. 12:4-13
In his letter to the Corinthian church, Paul sought to address the division within it (1 Cor. 1:10-11). The implication from 1 Corinthians 12 is that there was division over gifts given from the Lord. One of the divisions came from the notion of one gift being better than another. Another thought that gifts from God can be used in one kind of way.
Do you know that the beautiful thing about you is you? We are all unique! We have unique personalities. We have unique styles. God created us to be unique! As David said, we are fearfully and wonderfully made for the Lord’s works (Ps. 139:14).
Even more, God has blessed all of us with gifts suited to our style and personality. Not all preachers preach the same way. Not all singers sing the same way. Not all deacons pray the same way. There is beauty in this! There is beauty in your gift!
Someone might try to criticize how you use the gift God has given you, but what would they know about you and God’s blessing to you? God knows you perfectly. Embrace your gift, don’t be afraid! Those who are meant to receive your gift will love to receive it and cherish it.
