¹ Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. ² Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 

Galatians 6:1-2 NKJV

Temptation is at its strongest in times like these. It is in times like these when it seems like hatred is filling the world that we are tempted to answer bitterness and hate in like manner. So, in such times, it is can be easy for us to be overtaken by sinful thoughts and wicked actions.

So, it is in moments like these when our fellowship needs to be even stronger than the temptation to move in a sinful manner. When fellowship is at its healthiest, we are able to sharpen each other. When fellowship is at its healthiest, we are able to uplift each other. When fellowship is at its healthiest, we are able to correct one another so that we can all stay on the right track and not get sidetracked.

The devil wants us to get sidetracked right now. We are not going to give the devil what he wants! Do you know what we’re going to do today? We are going to turn around and focus our energy on each other today. Don’t let the wicked occupy your mind! The wicked are going to continue in their way and if you let them occupy your mind, it will drain your spirit! However, when we focus on one another, and help each other, we can refuel each other’s spirit!

This is what we need today: to refuel each other’s soul so that we can endure the testing of this day. Faith, fellowship, and love will carry us through!
