There are many that think they can find peace, but, again, many are searching in the wrong place. The fact of the matter is that our nature is a sinful nature. Our hearts is a hard of disobedience an unrest. Admittedly, there are some thing that’s of the world that can bring about happiness. For example, many find happiness in the love of another, whether its a spouse, children, or even friends. Some of us find happiness through our work.

However, with the happiness that’s of the world, comes heartaches, stress, and trouble. To bring peace to the world, nations fight nations, and communities fight communities. In order for one to find peace, the unrest within must first be settled. This is where so many of us lose out on peace, we have no rest within. Perfect peace can be found to those who are near to the Lord.

As the prophet says, “the Lord will keep those in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him.” This is where we must get to in life – a mind that remains focused on the Lord. If you can keep your mind stayed on Him, trust in Him, and allow God to set your path, you will find perfect peace.
