Finding Riches Greater Than the World’s Riches | Psalm 19:9-10

Read This Passage: Psalm 19:7-11

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Psalm 19:9-10 NKJV

The world will look at you and judge you by the color of your skin, and even more so by your bank account and by your possessions. To those that live according to and by the world, and have gained some of the world’s riches truly do believe that they are blessed. Yet, again, I tell you that the belief that the riches of this world is what makes one blessed is as a dream – a mirage. Power, the riches of this world are all fleeting – they are temporary.

So, while the world may mock you and under value what you have, I want you to understand that you have something that is greater than the riches of the world. We, the sincere believers, fear the Lord because we know the Lord, His way, and how He will judge those that live in opposition to Him. Therefore, we received God’s word from His only begotten Son and His word enlightened to the divine truth which we live by. By the divine truth we are blessed and highly favored in the eyes of God and as we abide by His word, the Lord blesses us with a life that is prosperous.

What I mean by this is that the Lord sustains us throughout the days of our life and makes us content in our soul! Let me tell you, contentment – peace of mind – is greater than any riches you can find in the world. My encouragement for you today is to find the riches that are greater than the riches of the world. To do this, seek God’s instructions which are holy and righteous and then follow them. When you do this, you will be richer than anyone that may laugh at you because of your faith.
