15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.

John 13:15-16 NKJV

When He sat with the eleven at the feast of Passover, Jesus began to teach them some His last lessons. Within those moments, Jesus washed the feet of the disciples to show them the humble and loving heart of service. Then Jesus said something that all who would say they are a child of God must hear. Jesus said to them, “I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”

Jesus loved the disciples and He served them from that place of love. All who profess to be a child of God needs to learn how to move in love today. All who have confessed faith with their heart must remember to move the love and grace that God has shown us. It just gets to a point where there are so many who say they are a child of God but their actions betray them!

I said this recently and I will repeat it today, there is a hypocrisy problem in the religion of Christianity. There is no hypocrisy in Christ and sincere faith in Him. Saying you believe in Him is merely the starting point of faith. Faith requires you to put forth the effort of following in the example that Christ has set for all of us to follow. Now, more than ever, is a moment in time where we must step out and walk in the example that Christ has set.
