Get Up and Go to Your Blessing! | Exodus 14:15-16

Read This Passage: Ex. 14:10-25

15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Exodus 14:15-16 NKJV

We want our blessing from the Lord and He often tells us that it’s there before us; all we have to do is go and get it. When you hear the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, give you this encouragement, do you then get up and strive to get your blessing or do you hesitate? Many of us will say that we strive towards our blessings but the truth of the matter is that many of us are like how the children of Israel at the Red Sea.

Moses and the children of Israel were ‘trapped’ at the Red Sea with the Red Sea before them and Pharaoh at their backs. The children of Israel were trembling in fear believing that Moses had brought them out of Egypt to die right there. Moses was busy fighting against their reluctance while also praying to the Lord about the situation. God, as we will see, said to Moses, “why do you cry to Me?” You see, this was said because the Lord had already promised the blessing to them, all that they had to do was have faith and get up and move to their blessing.

When it comes to our blessings, this same thing is true. Some of us are reluctant to move to our blessing because of what might be ahead of us – especially what is ahead appears to be difficult. We will repeatedly pray to God about our blessing when the Lord says to us – move. Regardless of what is ahead of you, when God tells you that your blessings are before you, you should get up and go to your blessing. Don’t sit around and be hesitant, move.
