Did you wake up today feeling like giving God praise? I certainly hope you did. The reason why I say this is because of what the psalmist has said here in this psalm. The Lord is good to all. In fact, I would say to all of you that God is beyond good to all, especially when you consider how we have been in return to Him. All that the Lord has ever asked of mankind is for mankind to love Him and to love each other. Yet, we treat so few people with the love that God has asked of us nonetheless honor and love the Lord.

That said, the Lord is good and merciful; He is not overly harsh towards us in our wrongdoings as He does offer us correction and forgiveness. You see, because of the Lord, you and I aren’t stuck in mire and clay – in tough and difficult situations. Should you turn to the Lord, He will lift you up out of the mire and clay and set your feet on solid ground. Time and time again, the Lord has lifted us out of the pit of despair when we chose to jump head first into the pit instead of wait on Him.

After recognizing all that God has done for us, we should wake up each and every day blessing and praising Him. God is certainly worthy to be praised and it’s time for more people to come to realize. For more to realize this, we who recognize the goodness of God must not keep our praise shut up on the inside. So, praise the Lord today – let somebody somewhere know that our God is a good God!
