Does God Love Truly Dwell in Your Heart?
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
All believers must consider their actions and whether or not their actions reflect God’s way.

Today’s devotional reading: John 13:31-35
Don’t make His sacrifice in vain. Do you believe in God? If you answer yes to that question, there is another question you must be able to answer. Do you know what you believe? Many of us will quickly say that we believe in the death and resurrection of Christ. Yet, we must understand that we believe in even more than that.
You see, we believe in the love that God had for the world to give the world His only begotten Son. We also believe in God’s mercy and grace that He showed us in giving His only begotten Son. We believe in God’s uplifting in that the giving of Christ is salvation (deliverance from sin) to those who are of sincere faith. God loved the world, because of His faithfulness to the promise He made in that man will one day dwell with Him.
So, because we believe in God, that means we ought to move in the same love, grace, mercy, uplifting, and faithfulness that the Lord has shown to us. What would it say about us to receive such love from the Lord but not be willing to show it to others? That would say that you don’t know God, nor does His love dwell in you.
The true Christian must put forth their best effort to move in the manner that God has shown us. In doing this, we become good representatives (stewards) of the Lord. This is the example that many need to see in today’s world, especially coming from those who say they love the Lord.
