God Will Keep You in Perfect Peace | Ps. 121:5-8
July 2, 2024
5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
Psalm 1121:5-8 NKJV
I love this psalm of David! Why is that? Because David understood what it meant for God to keep someone in His care. David had gone through some things in his life and could say this confidently. Do you understand what it means to be in God’s care? I often wonder whether or not we really do because we are always so fast to be anxious and worried.
David likened the Lord to being the shade on a very hot day that will keep you cool. Life can become overbearing like the sun on a 100+ degree day. Should we stress or worry? Think about all the overbearing days you have gone through. You’re still standing today, aren’t you? Yes, we may have been beaten up, fallen to a knee, but again, our soul hasn’t been destroyed.
No matter what you’re going through, I just want you to know that God is your keeper. No matter what’s happening around you, I just wnat you to know that God will preserve you. I know our first thought it to either be anxious or upset when things don’t go our way. Yet, I tell you, God will keep you in perfect peace.
