¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 

Hebrews 6:10 NKJV

Though some of us won’t admit it, at the end of the day, we feel good when someone recognizes our work. Does that mean that you’re doing good just for somebody to recognize it and say something about it? No. It is true, there are many people who do charity just to be praised and glorified, but some do good because that’s what they do.

We have a duty to doing what’s right and what good. There are times where this labor can be very hard for us, isn’t there? It makes it a great more difficult when we feel people take advantage of our good or don’t even acknowledge it. Yet, Paul wrote that when we are growing wearing in doing good, don’t be weary (Gal. 6:9). Every opportunity we have to do good, do it.

While many may not recognize your efforts or even appreciate them, find comfort in the fact that God does. God knows all of your works. God especially appreciates when your labor is that of love. While others may forget your good works, God does not forget. While the world may not reward you for doing, you better believe that God already has your reward ready. God has your reward ready and He will deliver it to you personally! So, keep pushing forward and don’t growing in doing good.
