John 15:5-11 – God’s Deep Love and Care for You
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
Let us never second guess whether or not the Lord loves and cares about ut.

Today’s daily devotional: John 15:5-11
Do not underestimate or undervalue just how much the Lord loves you. The greatest form of attack that the devil will use against you is that of trying to make you think that God doesn’t love you. Satan will take all of the bad that you have either gone through or are currently going through as proof that God must not love you. The greatest lie ever told is that God despises you.
When describing His love towards us, Jesus described Himself as a vine and the Father as a vinedresser. A vinedresser is simply a specific type of farmer or gardener; they specialize in caring for grapevines. The thing about gardeners, whether one is a vegetable gardener or plants nothing but flowers, is that they love what they plant deeply.
We gardeners will not only water and feed our crops, but we will tend to each individual plant in our garden. Do you know how much work goes into pruning plants, making sure each plant has been fertilized and treated? The majority of us gardeners do such work not for profit but out of pure love.
God tends to every one of His children as a gardener tends to their plants. The Lord feeds us. The Lord waters us. The Lord even prunes us when parts of us are growing in an unhealthy manner. Let me be as clear as I can be about this: God tends to your every need personally! Why does the Lord tend to you in such a manner? Because He loves you, and He wants you to grow and be fruitful.
Don’t fall for the devil’s lie about God not loving you – never think that. Whenever you’re in doubt, cry out to the Lord, and you will find that God has already tended to your need.
