Food For Thought

And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

Luke 17:5-6 NKJV

All it takes is a little faith and that faith will carry you a mighty long way if your faith is in the Lord.  This scripture is taken from a passage where Jesus had been teaching the disciples about forgiveness.  Forgiving one that had repeatedly wronged them was something the disciples believed to be incredibly hard to do.  So what did they do?  They asked to have their faith increased to be able to perform such a task.

Yes, forgiving those who repeatedly wrong us can be incredibly difficult.  Yet, there are certainly a lot more difficult things that we face on this journey, right?  Some of us are battling terrible addictions.  Some of us are battling terrible demons.  Some of us are battling ourselves.  In all of our trials and tribulations, our afflictions can seem to be insurmountable

Yet, we have to remember that we have great hope in God and what He can and will do.  So, we should let our hope in God seek for the miracle— the impossible.  All it takes is a little faith in God and Jesus tells us that little faith can lift up mighty trees and mighty mountains.  We have to remember that in all of our tribulation, all which may seem insurmountable to us, is nothing to God.

Our afflictions are light for the Lord.  Even more, those wishes, dreams, and hopes are possible to achieve with just a little faith and a little hope.  Let’s move today with just a little faith and a little hope in our hearts and watch how good God will be to you.  With the right mindset, good will find its way to us.
