Keep Looking Forward and Push Ahead | Is. 43:16, 18-19
August 20, 2024
16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters … 18 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NKJV
I might be a broken record repeating this to all of you today, but there is always hope. There is always hope when your trust is put in the Lord. Because there is always hope, I encourage you to stop look backwards – look ahead! Fear and doubt is what causes us to look backwards at days when we were praying for God to “make a way”. Faith always wants to move forward and push ahead – we shouldn’t stop faith from doing what it does!
You have prayed for the Lord to make a way for you, right? I certainly hope so. So, in that case, why not push ahead? The Lord said of the Babylonians, who held captive Judah, He would bring down them down. To all that we are going through today, the Lord has the power and authority – He is in charge. We must stop giving power to that which doesn’t have any power!
Do you know what the Lord has said to that which may be afflicting you today? The Lord said, “I will do a new thing.” The days of old weren’t restored to Job when he lost everything. God gave to Job a double portion of newness. Yes, we have our struggles and we have also lost as well. Yet, God is still blessing us and He is blessing us with something brand new!
God is making a way for you today so stop looking back at where you have come from and move forward. God isn’t make a new way for you to keep turning around to look back!
