Learning the Path of Uplifting Love in a Diming World
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
The Christian should be leaders in empowering others through grace and mercy.

Today’s daily devotional: Psalm 78:32-39
Many of us don’t think that we are worthy of grace and mercy. Why is that? Well, many of us are used to living in a system where mercy is rarely shown. Friends and even family can be slow to forgive us of our wrongdoings. There are a lot of people who love to hold wrongs over the head of others as if they have no skeletons in their closet.
This is a thought that makes me think of the woman caught in the act of adultery. For her sins, the scribes and Pharisees were ready to stone her to death rather than show her mercy and grace. God has not put us in the world to hold the wrongs of another over them. God has not put us in the world to have our wrongs held over our heads. God has put us in the world to lift each other up.
God’s grace and mercy serve as an example of how we ought to treat one another. Even after they sinned at Mount Sinai, God gave the children of Israel an opportunity to reach the Promised Land. After all our transgressions, each day is a day of God’s grace where He gives us an opportunity to be better. We must learn this way of grace so that others have an opportunity to grow as well.
