⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. ⁹ Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you.

Something that everybody must understand about the Lord is that God desires for us to be fruitful and prosper. From the very beginning, when God made mankind, He made us to flourish. Sadly, we chose sin and to this day, we still choose sin. Yet, even though we choose sin, God still wants the best for us. The Lord desires to see us grow and flourish. God does not want anybody to wallow and toil around in sin.

How do we get out of sin? God instructs us – He shows us the way and the hope is that we let the Lord guide us with His eyes. If God guides you, do you really think that the Lord would lead you astray? Do you think that the Lord will lead you to failure? Do you really think that God will lead you to destruction? That is not the Lord’s desire.

Yet, many of us struggle with trusting where the Lord is taking us. You ever heard the saying of being stubborn like a mule? Have you ever been walking your dog, or attempting to walk your dog, but they don’t budge? You have to either get behind them and nudge them or you have to pick them up and carry them. God doesn’t want us to be like that!

The last thing we should do is fight where God is leading us! What good will come from fighting against God? Will you be blessed? You should want to go where God is leading you because He is leading you to the blessing! God is leading us to the Promise! Surely, God’s promise is worth following Him, so stop fighting God, and enjoy your blessing.
