⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

Psalm 23:5 NKJV

Christ promised that whatever we ask in His name, the Lord will do so that He may be glorified through us (John 15:7-8). As a child of God, this is a promise that you need to keep to your heart every day for the rest of your life. Why do I say that? I say this because our great adversary, along with those in his army, will try to tear you away from this promise.

The devil, and those who are soldiers in his army, will do everything they can to keep you away from God’s blessings. As you do your best to strive towards what the Lord has for you, they will push back against you. However, as Paul said, there is nothing in this world that can separate you from the love of God (Rom. 8:38-39).

As David said, the Lord is preparing a special meal just for you and He will serve it to you in the presence of your enemies. Let’s not overlook how David said the cup on the table runs over the brim. No matter how much the enemy tries to keep your from God’s blessing, you will be blessed. God is going to bless you in their presence for them to see and be mad about! So, if today seems bleak, I encourage to keep the faith and trust that the Lord is preparing your table right now!
