Open Up Your Eyes | Ephesians 4:17-18

Read This Passage: Ephesians 4:17-24

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;

Ephesians 4:17-18 NKJV

Stop walking in the dark! Jesus came to the world and said that He is the Light of the world; He gave us the divine truth. When one refuses the divine truth, they are choosing to live in darkness. So, those who choose to ignore Christ live with a veil over their eyes as they blind to the world they live in. What happens when one walks in the dark? If we choose to walk in the dark, we will eventually stumble over something and fall down.

It’s one thing to walk around in the dark, physically, as eventually we may find a light switch. However, it’s a completely different story to walk around in the dark spiritually. The world, spiritually speaking, will have its way with you should you choose to walk around blind. The world can tell you what happiness is but it can never lead you to true happiness. The truth is that everyone needs the Lord’s help to find contentment! Doing the same thing over and over again the same way, repeatedly, is the definition of insanity. Many foolishly wander around in the world trying to satisfy their soul without ever finding it because they are blind to where satisfaction lay.

So, if you desire to find true satisfaction – contentment – take the veil off of your eyes if you aren’t walking in the light! Stop walking around in the world blind and not finding true happiness. Stop being blind to the divine truth so that you can lay hold onto true satisfaction as God will reveal it to you when you step into His light.
