¹¹ For I am with you,’ says the Lord, ‘to save you; Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you. But I will correct you in justice, and will not let you go altogether unpunished.’

Jeremiah 30:11 NKJV

There are many people who profess to be of faith but the have moments where they believe God doesn’t care. Are you one that thinks that the Lord doesn’t care or that He’s abandoned you? As I shared with you the other day, proof that God cares about you is found in His rebuke. Like a loving parent, God doesn’t ignore when you have messed up and done wrong. God is going to rebuke you- He is going to offer correction.

To the prophet Jeremiah, the Lord let him know that He was with him. Jeremiah prophesied in a day of great sin taking place in Judah. Though those of Judah would suffer, God was making it clear that He was still with them. Don’t ever think that in your suffering the Lord isn’t with you. Judah needed to be corrected and the Lord said He was doing so in justice. God was being fair in His correction and punishment of Judah.

Yes, we do go catch it in life and there are definitely times where the Lord punishes us. Don’t ever think that the Lord rebukes and punishes us for kicks and giggles! God said to Jeremiah, “I am with you to save you.” God still says the same thing to all of those that love Him and are committed to living according to His way.

Proof that God cares and is with you is the fact that He will get on you when you live sinfully. God is love and He does nothing but seek to save you from the error of your way.
